Objectives of the programme in Uganda


In 2007, the objectives of the programme in Uganda were:

  1. Improved 'coping skills' of children and youth; 
  2. Better psychosocial support for children to be provided by adults; 
  3. Increased capacity among (para)professionals, youth groups and caretakers to organise creative and recreational activities;
  4. More expertise among (para)professionals to identify the psychosocial needs of children and adequately respond to them; 
  5. Improved protection of children and youth against sexual abuse; 
  6. Increased interaction and a more positive attitude between divided groups of children.
